Super Fun!

Our planning group came to Pursell Farms for a retreat and while some played golf a few of us tried the mountain ride. That was the most fun I had in a long time! Not just the thrill of winding down dirt roads, but the storytelling along the way was a fun surprise!

Add This to Your Trip… you won’t regret it

I had never driven an off-road vehicle before so I was little nervous, but once we were off and riding I found the gator carts easy to handle and fun to drive. The ride lasted about 2 hours and for once I didn’t mind getting a little dirty! Be advised there is dirt, mud and water along the way, and we got all of it!

This is something we will do again! Loved it, and Al was a great guide!

A bit long, but we had the time.

We have been to Pursell many times over the years and this time we added the UTV mountain trail ride to schedule which also included Orvis and spa. Riding in the mountains was a lot of fun and worth the time. The ride may have been a little long, only downside if you are short on time, but we had the time, and it was worth it! So much fun! Thanks, Justin for a great trip!

Had no idea there was terrain like this in Alabama.

My buddies and I are from North Carolina. We come from mountain country, but we came to Alabama to play golf. After our round we decided to try the off-road mountain ride. What surprised me most was how hilly the property is. The mountain top on Sulfur is surprising high with incredible views, maybe not the Smoky Mountains, but still quite scenic with an amazing 360 view. The ride was fun.

Refreshing

Spent a refreshing afternoon at the spa and it was perfect. A perfect end to the day.

Small but well done

I only got into going to the spa recently and my wife signed us each up for a Swedish massage on our anniversary trip to Pursell Farms. The spa is small and didn’t have much else other than the treatments but the massage I got was one of the best I have ever had.

Quiet & Simply Perfect

We had to ask the front desk where the spa was and when we finally drove there, I was surprised to find how charming it was. The spa looks like it was an old cottage that maybe was retrofitted but what they have done with it is amazing. Got the express facial – fabulous!

Couples Retreat

Pursell Farms has built something truly special and something that is hard to replicate. The staff and the service folks are top-notch! We travel all over the Southeast and stay at some nice resorts, but Pursell is one of our favorites! The Springhouse spa is worth the trip alone!

Absolutely Amazing!

Not only is the hotel and the property amazing, but the amenities are world class! From the golf course to the spa everything was perfect, so different than anywhere else we have travelled. Hope to be back soon!

Nature's Harmonious Evening

The serene journey to The Secret Place unveiled a harmony of nature's wonders. Ascending Chalybeate Mountain was a tranquil adventure, setting the tone for a captivating evening. The panoramic view of the Coosa River valley at sunset was awe-inspiring. Pairing this experience with dinner at Arrington made the evening a complete symphony of flavors and scenic beauty.

Nothing compares to this kind of romance

The view over the valley was captivating. The surprise snack, wine, coupled with the evening's tranquility, made for an entirely romantic experience. Dinner at Arrington afterward was a fitting conclusion to such an memorable evening

Epic Sunset Escape

The shuttle ride up to Chalybeate Mountain was an adventure in itself! The bumps on the dirt road were worth the surprise that awaited! It has been a while since I have seen such an amazing sunset...

Did that just happen?

When we arrived at "The Secret Place" (now I know why it is called that) the sky was cloudy but it looked like it might break apart and right on cue, the sun poked out just as it was dropping below the horizon. We sipped wine and just enjoyed the magic hour. Stunning!

Just beautiful

We added this little excursion at the last minute and before our dinner reservation. I ma so glad the we did! Pursell Farms has carved out something magical with that location on the mountain top.

After a breathtaking horseback ride at Pursell Farms, we headed to Founders Pub for a sumptuous lunch. The picturesque landscape during our trail adventure, whether wrapped in the colors of fall or lush summer hues, set the stage for an unforgettable experience.

Despite the chilly weather, our winter horseback ride at Pursell Farms felt enchanting! The tranquility and joy of exploring the scenic routes on horseback were truly magical. After our ride, returning to The Inn's warmth, overlooking the golf course, was a perfect retreat.

A pleasant surprise!

Horseback riding at Pursell Farms was a surprise. While my husband was playing golf my daughter and I decided to see some of the property and a horseback ride seemed like the right idea. We a lot in about two hours and our guide was amazing!

Axe-cellent Challenge for the Guys!

We tried axe-throwing, and it was a real test of skill of our beginner skills! The competitive spirit among our bachelor group was sky-high. Justin added to the excitement with his expertise and made it an adrenaline-fueled memory for us! Thanks for dealing with our rowdy guys!

A refreshing and exhilarating break

Our team loved the axe throwing activity at Pursell Farms! It was a refreshing break from the usual team-building exercises. Once we started hitting the wood target and sticking a few the fun really began. Would recommend this if you have never tried it.

My First Time!

I have never thrown much of anything let alone an axe! But once I figured out the wrist “flick” I started to land a few. Pretty exciting would love to try it again!

A fun diversion if you like trying new things

Axe throwing was a lot of fun! Not something you want to do for a long period of time but worth a shot. The staff is very knowledgeable, and they know the tricks to making a solid throw!

The first time I struck the target and the axe stuck I was hooked! Didn’t stick it every time, but I did start to get the hang of it.

One of the most beautiful places to go. Golf course is great and wonderfully maintained. Staff at both the course and the hotel are great. Very friendly and helpful. The farm setting and Mountain View’s are great.

Great Stay at Pursell Farms

We had a fantastic stay this weekend at Pursell Farms. My husband and his friend golfed while we enjoyed the pool and amenities. Our rooms were beautiful and very luxurious. We had a fantastic dining experience. Honestly, the service was topnotch at the hotel and they made us feel very welcome and cared for during our stay.

The Farm is literally my favorite place to be. Whether you are on business (as I was),want a couples weekend away from it all, or want to play some incredible golf with your friends.. this is a MUST! If you don’t know, now you know.

Amazing property in the middle of Alabama

We went for a friends bachelor of top party and played golf all weekend, shot, skeet, and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves on the property. This would also make a great location for a couples retreat. We did not use the spa, but I’m sure it was nice.

Expectations were high for our Pursell Farms visit and the actual experience did not fall short. We had an awesome experience playing golf and shoot clays on their sporting clay course. Our rooms were very nice and kept very clean through out our stay. The friendliness of the staff is a leader in the resort experience.
