Built in 1830, The ORVIS® FarmHouse is the oldest home on the Pursell Farms property.
Over the years, these rustic walls have been home to many, including several Pursell family members. As newlyweds, David and Ellen Pursell started their family in this home and enjoyed her timeless beauty for many years. The FarmHouse once served as the ORVIS® Shooting Grounds at Pursell Farms welcome center and headquarters until they moved their operations to the new ORVIS® clubhouse, located inside the entrance of the property. Today, you will find the ORVIS® FarmHouse (Located directly across the street from the main entrance to The Farm), restored with gracious details, exposed hand-hewn timbers, and beautifully appointed with 19th century textiles and antiques. For a truly memorable experience of a bygone era, we invite you to come enjoy our Southern hospitality and experience a bit of the colonial South. The Orvis FarmHouse must be booked in its entirety.
