Pursell Farms History Tour

Discover why Pursell Farms has been thought of as a historical crossroads
dating back as far as the 1540’s

Learn some of the stunning history that has taken place around our 3,200 acre property from a band 16th century Spanish Conquistadores to one of the South most famous, but nearly almost forgotten, healing resorts for the 19th century, Talladega Springs. Discover the “Jackson Trace” and hear the story of Andrew Jackson, Davy Crockett and Sam Houstons as they prepared to deploy across our property en route to the infamous battle at “Horseshoe Bend”. All if this and much more awaits on this exciting tour of discovery!

The history tour lasts about 1 hour and begins in the Lobby of The Inn. Guests will then be taken out to learn more about the history on the farm and the local area with visits to sites such as Hamilton House, Talladega Springs, the General Jackson Memorial, the Orvis Farmhouse and more.
