Q: Is there a way to charge my car?

We have a car charging station located at the Inn in the upper parking lot

Q: What time is check-in and check-out?

Check-in is at 4:00 p.m. and check-out is at 11:00 a.m.
Guests with our “Get Out of Town, You Two” package receive a 3:00 p.m. check-in Sunday only.

Q: Is smoking permitted at the resort?

Pursell Farms is designated as a non-smoking facility to preserve the guest experience and safety at the Farm.  There are designated outdoor areas for smoking that our team can direct you toward should you need.  Smoking indoors is prohibited by the State of Alabama’s “Clean Indoor Air Act.”  Evidence of any form of smoking indoors at any of Pursell Farms guest rooms will result in a minimum fee of $500 for the cost to clean & purify the affected area and any displaced revenue.

Q: Can we bring pets to Pursell Farms?

Pursell Farms allows dogs in rooms designated as dog-friendly only*^. Dogs are the only animal allowed in accommodations on The Farm. The limit of dogs per room is two. Dogs will not be allowed at the pool, food and beverage outlets, or lobby sitting areas and must be on a leash when outside of the room. There is a designated dog walking area that includes a disposal station located outside the Inn. Guests must call to request pet friendly accommodations in advance. There is $100 non-refundable pet fee. Dog amenities include food and water bowl.
*Designated dog-friendly rooms include the first floor of The Inn and Hogan cabin.

Q: What is the cancellation policy at Pursell Farms?

Due to the intimate size of our property and our advance booking window, cancellations affect us significantly.

1. For General Reservations:
   • Should you find the need to cancel your booking in the Inn your payment of one night’s room, tax and resort fee will be refunded if you cancel more than three days prior to arrival. Your payment will be forfeited if you cancel within three days of arrival.
2. For Advance Purchase Reservations:
   • Should you find the need to cancel your reservation booked at our Advance Purchase Rate you will forfeit your entire deposit.
3. For Contracted Group Reservation:
   • Please refer to your Group Sales Contract for details.

 

Q: How much is the Resort Fee and what do I get for it?

The resort fee at Pursell Farms is charged in two different amounts based on the extras and amenities included with your accommodations. Here is how they are broken down:

• Cabins, Cottages and Parker Lodge – $45 Resort Fee per room, per night
  • Personal use of a golf cart parked at your accommodations
    • Cottages & Cabins: 2021 E-Z-GO RXV Elite Lithium golf cart parked at your door (4 carts per cottage/cabin)
    • Parker Lodge: 6-seater E-Z-GO people movers
  • Parking (Self or Valet)
  • Electric car charging stations
  • Wifi
  • Local & long-distance calls
  • Resort shuttle transportation
  • Choice of one select activity per day:
    • 1 hour pedal bike
    • 1 hour pedal boat

Q: Is there a place for children to play?

While we do not have a playground or activity center for children to play, we are located on 3,200 acres and offer fun amenities for the entire family.

Take your children to ORVIS for a day of shooting lessons on our one-of-a-kind sporting clays course or let them learn a new skill with private fly-casting lessons. Overnight guests and ORVIS hunting members are able to fish in the ponds on property. (Children must be at least 12 years old for ORVIS activities of any kind.)

For the ambitious young golfer, sign your child up for golf lessons with one of our PGA Golf Professionals. They will teach your child how to swing, drive, putt, chip, and pitch along with proper golf etiquette and the rules of the game.

We also offer bike rentals and have a pool for our resort guests.

 

Q: Is there a medical facility located nearby?

Coosa Valley Medical Center is located 15 minutes away from the front gate. There is also an urgent care facility, Main Street Family Urgent Care, located 10 minutes from property.

 

Q: Does Pursell Farms offer a military rate?

Our golf shop offers a military discount on Tuesday and Wednesday. Call our golf shop for more information about discounted military rates (256) 208-7640.

 

Q: Where is the closest airport?

Birmingham-Shuttlesworth airport is 50 miles away. 1 hour and 10 minutes by car depending on traffic. For directions use this address in your GPS: 386 Talladega Springs Rd., Sylacauga, AL 35151

Sylacauga Municipal Airport, a city-owned public-use airport, is located 8 miles away.

 

Q: Do you offer transportation services from the airport?

We do not offer a shuttle service for the Birmingham-Shuttlesworth airport. Rare Transportation is a service that we recommend. You can visit their website by clicking: raretransportation.com

Transportation service from Sylacauga Merkel Field (SCO) is available and must be arranged in advance of your intended travel.

 

Q: Is Parking Free? Can I park my RV or Camper on Property? Is there an RV park nearby?

Parking at The Farm is complimentary both for self-parking and valet. We are currently not permitting RV’s, campers, or commercial vehicles to park on property. Off-property RV or camper parks are searchable online.

 

Q: If I arrive late to check-in, will someone be there to get me checked-in?

Our security guard at the front entrance is on duty 24 hours a day so no matter what time you arrive someone will be available to get you to your room and take care of any requests you may have.

 

Q: Is there an ATM on property?

Yes, there is an ATM. It is located in the Inn along the Historic Talladega Springs hallway.
