Fourth of July Weekend at The Farm
Skip the crowded beach scene and enjoy the 4th of July weekend here at Pursell Farms! Make plans to stay with us for fun in the sun while we celebrate our nations independence. In addition to all that’s happening this weekend, enjoy whiling the time away between the exciting activities available to to you and spending time with family. Come and enjoy 3,200 acres of open-air and sunshine! We have a NEW pool deck feature on the Arrington Vista along with the pool and bocce ball court, Sondors® electric bikes to rent, bicycles and cart rentals are also available for use to sightsee around property.
Rooms in the Inn are still available on all nights.
Beverage service will be available on the pool and sun deck on Friday and Saturday from 10AM – 4PM
Here’s what’s happening at The Farm
THURSDAY, JULY 1
“Cochon de Lait” Pig Roast with Mansura, Louisiana native, Chef Joe Truex at The Barn from 6PM – 9PM
In addition to the roast enjoy all the dining accoutrements including, a delicious farm garden salad with Chef’s own smoked oyster dressing, smothered okra with tomatoes and bacon, candied yams and dirty rice, followed by rich southern banana pudding and summer watermelon.

Live music with talented singer/songwriter, Dean McConatha
FRIDAY, JULY 2
Take advantage of getting the weekend kicked-off right with a round of golf at FarmLinks or a round of Sporting Clays at The Orvis® Shooting Grounds
In the evening meet Ms. Chris Pursell Fleming for a glass of her family-famous, Mint Green Tea.
Enjoy a complimentary glass (or two!) in the Lobby of the Inn from 4PM – 5PM
Beverage service will be available on the pool and sundeck from 10AM – 4PM
SATURDAY, JULY 3
Join Pastry Chef John Scourlas for, “Have your Cake and Eat it Too!”
This one-of-a-kind demo will be taking place in the Old Hickory Room at The Inn
from 10:30AM – 12:00PM
In this delicious demo, Chef John will demonstrate several types of cakes and share his extensive knowledge on baking techniques and decorating. John will share with you exclusive tips and tricks that will make you the star of the bake sale!

Fireworks over the Fairway!
This bombastic celebration of our countries birth will take place on the back patio of the Inn overlooking FarmLinks grand 18th fairway!
Join us in celebrating our independence with a spectacular tribute to our nation at 8:30PM
