Pursell Farms is Expanding!


The Farm Is Expanding! We Hope That You Will Please, “Pardon Our Progress..!”

Throughout the coming months you will witness a great deal of progress being made as we expand and put the finishing touches on all of the exciting new amenities and resort offerings coming in the next year and half. We would like for you to know about these new additions since everything we are doing here is for you! Our greatest desire is that you would come back and enjoy all that Pursell Farms has to offer so that you can find recreation, rest and renewal during your stay!

“NEW” Amenities that have opened in 2016:

  • THE SPRING HOUSE – OFFERING SPA SERVICES is open! Click HERE for more information and to look at our menu of signature spa services.
  • JOHN PINEY’S BARN – Luxurious, A/V equipped 2,300 square foot meeting and event space. Click HERE for more details.
  • THE ORVIS FARMHOUSE – Circa 1830, this spacious 3 bedroom home is the perfect accommodation for the outdoorsman and leisure guest alike.  Click HERE for more details.

In addition to #1 in state FarmLinks Golf Club (Golfweek: Best Courses You Can Play – 2011, 2013, 2014, 2015 & 2016) and the brand new, world-class, Orvis Shooting Grounds, Pursell Farms is excited to announce the addition of the following new amenities and resort offerings coming soon to The Farm:



The New Inn at Pursell Farms will feature:

  • 40 additional rooms. (bringing our lodging capacity to 81 guest rooms)
  • Room options will include either 1 king or 2 queen beds.
  • These rooms will be perfectly suited for leisure guests, couples, families, corporate retreats, stay and play guests and business guests.



Some of our new amenities will include:

  • OLD TOM’S PUB will be located in the main hub of the Inn overlooking the 18th fairway. The pub will also be home to a variety of celebrity furnishings which have been donated to the Pursell Family from the estate of family friend, Jim Nabors (a.k.a. Gomer Pyle). The pub will also have a sports bar appeal complete with flatscreen tv’s, a pool table, games and porch patios.
  • UPSCALE RESTAURANT (not named currently) located on the ground level of the Inn facing the 18th fairway. This 2,300 sqft. restaurant will feature Pursell Farms signature Farm2Fork culinary offerings for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
  • POOL AND OUTDOOR LOUNGE will have plenty of room for guests to sprawl out and soak in the sun. An offering for light food dishes and a beverage service will be available.




Historic Hamilton Place will become a premier wedding and event destination in Alabama and the Southeast! In addition to a complete renovation of the antebellum surrounds, Hamilton Place will now also include a spacious 3,000 sqft air conditioned multi-purpose event facility to host weddings and receptions in addition to large group functions, meeting and events. The facility will be able to accommodate up to 350 patrons inside with addition open air options for larger groups.


The Spring House offers a wide-variety of spa treatments including the Spring House Signature Massage designed to rejuvenate and detoxify and the Marblestone Massage aimed at melting away tension and helping tired muscles feel refreshed and renewed. Our boutique spa menu includes ten treatments designed for relaxation and renewal. Some of our new meeting space includes:

  • JOHN PINY’S BARN (Open NOW) is our new luxurious 2,300 sqft meeting and event space. The Barn can accommodate up to 150 patrons, in addition to a spacious air conditioned event floor complete with touch screen A/V and dynamic sound, The Barn has a bank of french doors which can be opened out onto an event lawn either for overflow or indoor/outdoor integration. The Barn meeting and event space is fully equipped for meal service and has a fully stocked bar option.
  • THE MEETING ROOM AT THE INN is the ideal meeting space for groups not larger than 75 patrons who are staying at the Inn together. This 1,900 sqft meeting room is perfectly located in the main hub of the inn with easy access to the restaurant, pub and pool area.



The Secret Place is our most exclusive event venue on property. You have to see it to believe it! Imagine your own mountain top retreat for your groups private function. With 360 degree views of the central Alabama at an elevation of over 1000′ The Secret Place provides a backdrop unlike anything you have experienced! This location is completely cater-friendly with private shuttle service to the top and back.
